At Reliable Rx Pharmacy, we're more than just prescriptions.š
Every day, we have the privilege of helping individuals, families, caregivers, and providers navigate their medication needs. Whether it's delivering medications, creating easier-to-manage packaging, or simply answering questions, we're grateful to be a small part of our community's healthcare journey.
As a locally owned pharmacy right here in Lebanon Ohio, we believe healthcare should be personal. We know our patients by name, celebrate their victories, and genuinely care about their well-being.
Thank you for trusting us to care for you and your loved ones. Your support means everything to us.

Mental Health Awareness for Seniors
Physical health often takes center stage in senior care, but mental wellness is the engine behind it. Studies show that emotional health directly impacts recovery times and cognitive function. As a caregiver, your most important "check-up" this week might not require a stethoscope, just an open ear.

Medication Adherence Tools and Tips
Medication adherence is one of the most effective ways to prevent hospitalizations. But when the list of prescriptions grows, so does the risk of error. Here is how to stay ahead:
š Consolidate Your Pharmacy
Use one pharmacy for everything so the pharmacist can easily flag potential drug interactions.
š Request Easy-Open Caps
If arthritis is an issue, ask the pharmacist for non-childproof caps.
šMaintain a Pill Diary
Keep a simple log on the fridge. A quick checkmark after each dose provides instant visual confirmation for both the senior and the caregiver.

"Over-the-counter" shouldn't mean "overlooked." For seniors, everyday OTC meds can lead to unexpected side effects or prescription conflicts. In this monthās blog, weāre breaking down how to keep the pillbox safe:
Sneaky Ingredients: Why your go-to cold medicine might be a red flag.
Closing the Gap: Better communication between the home and the pharmacy.
Doctor-Ready Checklists: What to ask before the next dose.

Reliable Rx had an amazing time today at the āThings That Go!ā Touch-a-Truck & Assistive Technology Fair hosted by the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities!
From emergency vehicles and mobile health units to tractors, local vendors, and even some adorable animals š°š“āthere was truly something for everyone to explore and enjoy. We loved seeing so many families out connecting, learning, and having fun together.
Events like this are such a powerful reminder of how important accessibility, inclusion, and community support areāand weāre proud to be part of it š

As the weather warms, managing pain often requires a variety of strategies, especially since increased physical activity can cause new problems. Here are the most effective options to help your loved one manage joint pain and muscle pain and enjoy the new season with ease:
⢠Physical & Occupational Therapy: Focuses on strengthening the muscles around joints to reduce strain and improving how you move during daily tasks
⢠Anti-Inflammatory Diet: Incorporating foods like fatty fish, leafy greens, and berries can help manage systemic inflammation
⢠Topical Treatments: Creams or patches containing Lidocaine (numbing), Menthol (cooling), or Capsaicin (warming) are often safer for seniors than oral meds because they target pain locally
⢠Therapeutic Massage: Improves circulation and manually releases muscle knots or tension

As the snow melts and the air warms, many seniors feel a renewed sense of energy to get back outdoors. While staying active through gardening or walking is wonderful for their health, the transition to spring terrain requires extra caution. To help your loved one enjoy the season safely, here are a few essential tips for preventing falls as they head back outside.
⢠Clear Hazards: Remove winter debris such as wet leaves, gravel, and fallen branches
⢠Watch the Thaw: Be mindful of slippery mud or algae patches on melting walkways
⢠Update Footwear: Switch from heavy boots to supportive, non-slip sneakers
⢠Check Mats: Replace any door mats that are curled or frayed from winter salt and moisture
⢠Add "Pit Stops": Place sturdy chairs in the garden to prevent fatigue-related stumbles
