Good morning, family and friends. The parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) portrays a father who runs to embrace his child, restoring his sonship long before the child has a chance to prove his worth or "pay back" his mistakes.

“Many adults are still trying to earn love from parents who only rewarded performance.”

This quote highlights a struggle that many people may not immediately recognize in themselves. Freud's words suggest that when a child's achievements become the primary source of praise or affection, they can grow up believing that love must be earned through success. As adults, they may continue working harder, seeking approval, or chasing accomplishments in the hope of receiving the acceptance they felt was conditional during childhood. The quote points to the emotional weight that early experiences can carry into later stages of life.
At the same time, the statement is not simply about parents or childhood. It also reflects how deeply people can internalize messages they receive when they are young. A child who learns that good grades, awards, or achievements bring attention may eventually connect self-worth with performance. Even after becoming independent adults, they may continue measuring their value through accomplishments rather than recognizing their worth beyond what they achieve.
Pray this Prayer..
Father, thank You that Your amazing love and approval of me is not based on my performance. Thank You that I can refuse to let guilt and condemnation keep me from staying close to You. I declare that I am growing and becoming the person You created me to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Blessings, your brother in Christ Jesus 🙏.

Good morning, family and friends.

“The heart of spiritual discernment is being able to distinguish the voice of the world from the voice of God.”
Devotional Thought
Your discernment is a gift from God. It is one of the greatest lie detectors He placed within you. When something feels off, do not ignore it just because you cannot explain it yet.
Discernment is not fear. It is wisdom speaking before evidence appears.
Today, ask God to sharpen your spirit, quiet the noise, and help you trust what He reveals. Stop dismissing the warning signs. Embrace the gift, protect your peace, and move with spiritual clarity.
Prayer:
Lord, strengthen my discernment. Help me recognize truth, reject deception, and trust what You reveal to my spirit. Amen.

Nugget:
Your discernment is one of the greatest lie detectors. Stop ignoring it, and learn how to embrace it.

Blessings, your brother in Christ Jesus 🙏.

Good morning, family and friends.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." — Matthew 5:9 (ESV)
Reflection
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus describes the character of those who belong to His kingdom. Among these qualities is peacemaking. Notice that Jesus does not say, "Blessed are the peacekeepers," but "Blessed are the peacemakers."
A peacekeeper may avoid conflict at all costs, but a peacemaker actively works to bring reconciliation where there is division. Biblical peace is more than the absence of conflict; it is the presence of God's righteousness, love, and harmony.
God Himself is the ultimate Peacemaker. Through Jesus Christ, He reconciled sinful humanity to Himself. As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His heart by seeking reconciliation in our relationships, showing grace instead of retaliation, and sharing the message of peace found in the gospel.
Being a peacemaker is not always easy. It often requires humility, forgiveness, patience, and courage. Yet Jesus promises that those who pursue peace in His name will be recognized as God's children because they bear the family resemblance of their Heavenly Father.
Application
Ask yourself:
• Is there a relationship in my life that needs reconciliation?
• Am I contributing to peace or to division with my words and actions?
• How can I reflect Christ's peace in my home, workplace, church, or community today?
Take one practical step today toward restoring peace where tension exists.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for making peace with me through Jesus Christ. Help me to be a peacemaker in my relationships and in every place You have called me to serve. Give me wisdom, humility, and courage to pursue reconciliation and reflect Your love. May others see Your character in me and be drawn to the peace that only You can give. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today's Thought:
Peacemakers don't merely avoid conflict—they bring God's love, truth, and reconciliation into the midst of it.

Nugget:
It’s so easy to get baited into conflicts because we differ in our views and personalities. Too often, we want to have our own way and win an argument. It’s exactly the opposite attitude that
