I retired recently moved into the area near Lebanon, MO. I am interested in starting a local network of enthusiasts who are proponents of Linux, BSD, Solaris, or any and all of the Unix style Operating systems.

I m not proposing that it becomes structured such as holding monthly meetings although the last LUG I was involved with did great things on a monthly meeting basis. It would be great to have a group of us that meet somewhere for coffee and discuss discuss our challenges, issues, and what we are doing with our systems.

I also propose that this group not be limited to just the Flavors of Linux itself, but be open to discussion on anything and everything related to the use of the OS. For instance, I am also into Asterisk (VoIP), Web design, PhP, Javascript, Ajax, etc.

Putting aside my personal prejudice of a certain major operating system, I invite all who are interested in learning, teaching, helping, in need of help, or just interested in expanding their horizon and in the implementation of our technology.
