Your car's A/C system is tied into the electrical system of the engine, which means it can have the same problems of any other electric system, including power spikes, or blown fuses. An A/C expert can not only fix the fuse, but can also double-check that nothing was damaged.
If you’ve been hesitant to bring your car in for service on its electrical system because of cost, you may be allowing the problem to spread to other areas. As with any car issue, the more quickly you bring the car in for service, the less expensive it usually is to repair.
The air conditioning system in your car is built to work alongside your engine, which means it can withstand a certain amount of engine heat. If this engine heat gets too much, it can cause problems, but an auto A/C expert has several available solutions.
Because brakes are vital to your safety, brake inspections are an important part of every maintenance visit. Concentric grooves are a sign of wear and discoloration indicates overheating, both of which indicate it’s time to have your brake rotors replaced.
Shock absorbers do more than make your car ride smoothly, they help keep the car stable. As the name implies, shock absorbers absorb and dissipate energy transmitted from the road to the car. Without them, your car would constantly vibrate, sway and bounce.
Did you know the springs on your car have more effect on its ride than the shocks? It is the springs that react to the impact of the road to stabilize your car, while the shocks actually work to restrict the spring bounce.
Warning Signs: If you hear a rhythmic pulsing noise coming from your brakes it may indicate a brake rotor has become warped. This is not a problem to ignore, so have your brakes examined without delay.
A car’s a/c compressor drive shaft is fitted with seals that require regular lubrication from circulating refrigerant to function properly. To prevent seals from drying out and leaking, make sure to run the a/c at different times throughout the year – even in winter.
In wheel alignment, positive camber is when the tire leans outwards from the vehicle, causing unbalanced wear on the outside of the tire. Excessive negative camber is the opposite – the wheel leans in and wear occurs on the inside of the tire.
While it might seem strange (since a car is so heavy), suspension actually helps keep your car on the road. This ability is called "road holding," and is how well suspension can distribute the weight to keep the tires firmly on the ground.
If you’ve been hesitant to bring in your car for brake service because you aren’t convinced anything is truly wrong, it’s a good idea to make the trip anyway. Worst case scenario, you’re out a little time while we inspect your brakes to determine they’re in good shape.
