⚾🏆 40 YEARS AGO TODAY 🏆⚾
On this date in 1986, the Annville-Cleona Dutchmen completed an unforgettable run to the PIAA Baseball State Championship.
Entering the tournament as the #3 seed out of District 3, the Dutchmen opened States with a win over District 4 Champion Danville before taking down District 3 runner-up East Pennsboro in the quarterfinals. They then edged District 11 Champion Salisbury, 10-9, to earn their spot in the State Championship game.
With gold on the line, Annville-Cleona outpaced WPIAL power Ford City, 9-7, to bring home the AA State Championship.
Congratulations to the members of that championship team as they celebrate the 40th anniversary of this incredible accomplishment — a proud moment in Annville-Cleona history that still stands strong four decades later.

⚾ NORTHERN LEBANON BASEBALL: A HISTORIC RUN WORTH CELEBRATING ⚾
Northern Lebanon’s unforgettable season came to an end Monday afternoon in the 1st round of the PIAA State Playoffs, as the Vikings fell 2-1 to Archbishop Wood in a hard-fought pitchers’ duel.
Despite the loss, this was a season that will be remembered for a long time in Fredericksburg. The Vikings finished 24-2, won the program’s first-ever District 3 Baseball Championship, and helped make this spring a special one for the entire Northern Lebanon community.
With Northern Lebanon Softball also reaching States and finishing 20-6, the Vikings gave Lebanon County plenty to be
proud of this season.
Best of luck to the seniors from both programs, and congratulations to Northern Lebanon on a tremendous spring.

The Vikings fell by the tightest of margins, but one result does not take away from everything this group accomplished. They gave their school, the local community, and all of Lebanon County a season to be incredibly proud of.
From winning the program’s first-ever District 3 Baseball Championship to earning the opportunity to compete on the state stage, the Vikings put together a run that will be remembered for a long time.

🥎 Proud of the Lady Vikings 🥎
Northern Lebanon Softball saw its season come to an end Monday afternoon with a 5-0 loss on the road against Valley View, the defending State Champion, in the 1st round of the PIAA State Championship Tournament.
While the result was not what the Vikings had hoped for, there is so much for this team to be proud of. They represented their school, the Northern Lebanon community, and all of Lebanon County extremely well throughout a tremendous season.
From their run to the District 3 AAAA Championship Game to earning a spot in the State Tournament, the Vikings gave their community a lot to cheer about this spring. Competing on the state stage is never easy, especially against a program like Valley View, but Northern Lebanon battled and showed why they belonged among Pennsylvania’s best. They even outhit Valley View 5-4 in the game, proving just how dangerous they can be.
Congratulations to the Vikings on a very successful season. Lebanon County is proud of you!
