We’ve done some traveling recently and I was once again reminded how different plumbing is in other parts of the world. I (Brynn) have been a few places on this earth. But I have never seen a shower with folding doors! I was concerned they would keep swinging in while you showered, but once you pulled them out to the sides, they stayed put. This design was space saving and kept you from smashing your elbow into the frame, had it been fixed, while you used the sink. Instant HOT water (that never ran out), great pressure and radiant heat in the floor rounded out this tiny little Norwegian bathroom.

Pink tile? Gold fixtures? Succulent wall sconces? Yes, please! Remember that “before” photo from August? Well, sometimes amazing things take time. And this guest bath is stunning!

Well, the wind chill seems to have done more harm than anticipated. We’re getting lots of calls about frozen pipes.
If you have a space heater, try to safely warm them up. Use packing blankets, if you’ve got any, or big beach towels to insulate pipes that you are worried about.
Give Jason a call if you have questions or concerns! 512-202-8945. He’s already out on calls, but will get back to you as soon as he can.

Merry Christmas, it’s gonna be real chilly the next few days!
In all seriousness, cover your hose bibs if you can and keep an eye on any other exposed outdoor pipes. Jason doesn’t think it will be cold long enough to really freeze anything. (And thankfully ERCOT doesn’t expect any blackouts.) But check on those pipes just in case!
Remember: we do not suggest letting your faucets drip! It’s better to turn the faucet on full blast and flush your toilets once every hour or so if you are concerned.
Everyone stay warm and have a wonderful Christmas!

It’s national Hug a Plumber Day! So here’s a few shots of us squeezing up next to ours.

Well, it wouldn’t be February in Central Texas without a little ice.
As we head into a couple of days with freezing temps, here are some tips for your pipes!
- While most suggest you “do the drip,” we recommend once every hour or so turning on your bathroom faucets, hot and cold, to full stream for a couple of minutes and flushing your toilets. This keeps the water flowing in a more forceful manner. (Make sure you don’t forget to do this overnight as well!)
- Keep lower cabinets open to allow heat to circulate.
- Cover any outdoor spigots!
With icy roads predicted, we won’t be out and about tomorrow. But please don’t hesitate to call with any questions! 512-202-8945
