We are finding the most problems while plating occur when items are not being electrocleaned properly. Items must wet out after being electrocleaned. When an item is wet out it means it is hydrophilic and it is attracting water to its surface. If you notice at any point during your plating process that your item is drying out you would have to restart with the electroclean step. So if you are noticing that your item is repelling the water then it is repelling the solutions as well, which results in problems such as adhesion issues, haziness, dullness or water spotting.
