Silk is turning brown on a few cobs. Pollination is finishing up. It's time for those kernels to pack in some of Day Farms delicious, pop in your mouth flavor. If it stays hot, maybe the 4th of July will be a little sweeter this year.

Only 15,000 more transplants (melons, peppers, tomatoes) to put out into fields. Started with more than 200,000, so the finish line is now in sight.

Stopped working for a second cause the sunset and purr of the john deere were singing just the right tune. Second field of sweet corn 🌽 is coming along.

Our field of sweet corn🌽 that froze earlier this year is now our miracle field. The boss decided not to replant it after it froze. It has been growing back from little frozen sticks and now there are tassels out in May.

Early tomatoes and peppers were happy to get their first drink yesterday. Good soil moisture from a late April rainstorm, has kept them happy since planting around the first of May.

Seedless watermelon 🍉 plants started grade school today. After some hardening up outside of the greenhouse, we'll ship them of to college (field) in about a week.

Seeding in the greenhouse is winding down but transplanting in the field has begun.
