One Dearborn Economic Development was happy to host team members from Cincinnati Development Fund (CDF) for a half-day tour of several redevelopment opportunities across Dearborn County.
CDF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit lending institution that helps fill financing gaps not typically covered by traditional lenders. Their work has helped support real estate development and neighborhood revitalization projects throughout the Greater Cincinnati region, and Dearborn County is within their service territory.
The tour began in Dillsboro, where we were joined by Indiana Landmarks to visit the historic Masonic Lodge building they own and are working to position as a future redevelopment opportunity. From there, we stopped in Aurora for some great coffee and snacks at Spire Book & Coffee Co., followed by a tour of the former Aurora Elementary School property.
We then visited Greendale, where Greendale Main Street showcased the historic Jones Building and discussed the community’s ongoing downtown revitalization opportunities. The day concluded with a windshield tour of historic downtown Lawrenceburg, highlighting additional assets, opportunities, and community momentum.
Thank you to Cincinnati Development Fund, Indiana Landmarks, Greendale Main Street, Spire Book & Coffee Co., and our local partners for helping make this a productive and insightful visit. To learn more about the Cincinnati Development Fund visit: https://cindevfund.org/

One Dearborn Executive Director Mike Perleberg served as the conference chairman of the Indiana Economic Development Association Spring Conference in Bloomington last week. These conferences are a great place for Hoosier economic developers to discuss trends, programs, and best practices.
Of course, the real star of the conference was Hoosier the Bison when he dropped by with the IU College Football Playoff national championship trophy! 🏆
