Tax season is always a little chaotic 😅

One thing I’ve noticed talking to people lately is how many small business owners are just guessing when it comes to taxes and bookkeeping.
Things like mixing personal and business spending, not tracking mileage, or waiting until tax season to look at numbers at all.
It’s not even a knowledge issue most of the time, it’s just that no one ever really explains how to set things up in a way that actually makes sense day to day.
If anything, it makes me think this stuff should be taught way earlier, because it affects people way more than they expect.
Tax season is here and I just want to say this honestly…
A lot of people are either:
putting it off
guessing through it
or hoping TurboTax did it right
And I get it. Taxes are confusing, and most of us were never actually taught how any of this works.
But I also see people miss money every year or file things incorrectly without even realizing it.
If you’re self-employed, have multiple incomes, or just feel unsure about your return… it’s okay to ask for help instead of stressing through it alone.

Stuff like:

• mileage
• even things you didn’t think counted
And then they end up paying way more than they needed to.
No judgment at all! Taxes are confusing on purpose half the time.
