I saw Grosse Pointe Blank the year after our 10 year high school reunion. I was immediately disappointed our reunion wasn't as intriguing. I wrote Hooligan from the Hills for our 20th reunion; none of the characters are quite as dangerous as Martin Blank but since there's no sequel to GPB I'll claim I filled that void. Now it's 40 years for the Class of 1986 so give Hooligan a reread to remember just how stoopid we were.

Stringing together 70,000 words isn’t a purely solo effort. Some very special people support me throughout my unorthodox writing process.

Things are looking up. Getting out from under the thumb of Kansas City’s most powerful “legitimate businessman” is good. Escaping with a generous severance is even better. Hooking cars again just like the old days is nice. Patch enjoying nearly unlimited kitty treats is nicer. The newest client is a bit bossy, though — not cool. Dea’s new business partner is known to be a bit sketchy — even less cool. And, the noisy new neighbor sounds like all kinds of irritating. Maybe things are only going sideways.

Back at it in 2026. Left Hook finally drops in a few weeks. Work on the Hooked Up audio book is underway. And, the first words for Hook and Patch 6 are officially on the screen.
