After we lost bassist Allen Woody in 2000, Govt Mule made the decision to tour with a variety of bassists.
So, I live in Lawrence, Kansas. I'm waiting for Govt Mule's show to start, standing just feet from the stage at Liberty Hall, a historic old small opera hall where you can walk up and lean on the stage. They come out and open with Thorazine Shuffle with George Porter, jr on bass. I was just feet from the funkiest dude in the biz!
