Nerd Nite - Lawrence

Nerd Nite #126 was a rousing success with phenomenal presentations on the beautiful culture of Algeria (by Ahmad Mustafa) soccer songs from around the world (by Iain Ellis), the cultural importance of the World Cup (by Mauricio Gómez Montoya), and how to capture the passion of the fans through photography (by Peaty Romano). These enchanting photos were captured by Peaty and we're grateful to be able to share them. The irony, of course, is that we don't have a photo of Peaty! Lawrence, Kansas is thrilled to host the Algerian World Cup team and we hope they enjoy all that. Lawrence and Kansas has to offer!

Nerd Nite #126 has kicked off in a spectacular way as Mauricio Gómez Montoya nerds out about his love of the game! "Soccer is life!" And look at these thrilling raffle prizes!

Get ready for Nerd Nite #126! Join us at Maceli’s Lounge in downtown Lawrence on Wednesday, June 10 for a World Cup themed Nerd Nite! Doors open at 7pm and presentations start at 7:30pm. We aren't sporty folk and we're excited to see how nerdy we can make it!
