In 1989, a group of faith, labor, and community leaders created the Merrimack Valley Project (MVP) to unite people across the region’s widening racial, ethnic, and economic rifts to strengthen their communities. Today, MVP is a grassroots, multi-faith, multi-racial community organizing network that develops grassroots leaders, strengthens civic engagement, and builds power to advance systemic change for social, racial, and economic justice across the Valley.

Our organizing starts with listening to our communities and taking action together. Whether we're expanding opportunities for residents, strengthening housing and economic stability, or ensuring our most vulnerable neighbors have a voice, our communities can be stronger and empowered for change.
