Merrimack Health is pleased to welcome Krista Hachey, MD, to our team! Dr. Hachey is a general surgeon specializing in breast surgery — treating both benign and malignant conditions — along with gallbladder, hernia, and soft tissue procedures.

She is now accepting new patients at Community Medical Associates in Andover and Methuen.

Today we celebrated our amazing volunteers at Lawrence Hospital and across Merrimack Health. 💙

This year, more than 260 volunteers donated 11,500 hours supporting our staff, patients, and visitors.

We also recognized volunteers for their years of service, including Jane, who is approaching 10,000 volunteer hours since joining the team in 2004.

Thank you to every volunteer who helps make our hospitals and community stronger each day.

As you gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, a few simple food safety steps can help keep everyone safe and healthy.

🧼 Wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds
🥩 Keep raw and cooked foods separate
🌡️ Use a food thermometer to make sure foods are fully cooked
🧊 Keep cold foods cold and hot foods hot
⏱️ Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours (1 hour in hot weather)

Allergy season is here, and symptoms are flaring up across the Merrimack Valley.

Here are 4 simple ways to help manage seasonal allergies:

🌬️ Seal it out: Keep windows closed on high-pollen days.
🚿 Wash it off: Shower after spending time outside.
👕 Refresh: Change clothes after outdoor activities.
❄️ Filter: Use AC when possible to help keep indoor air cleaner.
