We’re proud to partner with Northern Essex Community College on its new Surgical Technology apprenticeship program, giving students a true-to-life training environment in Merrimack Health Haverhill Hospital’s former operating rooms.

The newly launched program welcomed its first group of students this month. Through hands-on training, they’re preparing for rewarding, in-demand careers in surgical technology.

We’re excited to support the next generation of health care professionals and hope to see some of these students join the Merrimack Health team in the future.

Mateus helps people understand their rights, ask questions and share concerns. He works with patients, families and care teams to help address concerns, remove barriers to care and make sure each person has a voice in their care.

His work is one of the ways we support people and families through their care — helping make sure they feel heard, respected and supported.
