‼️‼️ We are raising funds for the legal defense for a houseless Indigenous man who, according to a sign posted on our pantry, was racially profiled and falsely arrested by LPD.

We understand that this is a big money goal in a short amount of time, but nobody deserves to be in prison for a crime they didn’t commit. Stand up for our unhoused Native brother!

An update on Teddy:

Thank you all for your support for Teddy and his family. Your pressure on the city helped them to not be left in the dark by the city, who immediately responded and assured them the morning afterwards that they would be paying for the next month of their housing. However, we are saddened to announce that Teddy passed away June 22nd, 2022 at around 3am.

We helped his family make all of the arrangements for his funeral. His tribe helped get his body back to his ancestral lands where he was buried Wednesday, June 29th.

We apologize that this update has taken so long, but our group had been working on getting one of his immediate family members and grandchild housed throughout this time. So far we have secured temporary housing but we will update you on how it goes!
