5:30 Tomorrow I'll be talking about my installation 'Paint the Town in Paper' and other wonderful artists will be presenting about their work displayed in downtown Lawrence.

Meet at the Parks, Recreation & Culture offices in South Park, 1141 Massachusetts Street. The event is free and open to the public.

Pulp painting trees in downtown Lawrence, KS for the upcoming UPAE 2025 final Friday exhibition September 26. We’ll be installing gradually all month, and it’s up until the rain washes it away.

We began making graphical, straight lines wrapping around branches, but quickly learned to react and respond to the existing beauty of the many layered designs of the sycamore bark. Thoughts were of rivers, topographical maps, wood-boring insects, and lightning.

Thanks to anyone who stopped by to chat and share stories and connect with the work, it was an extremely fulfilling experience.
