✨ Hi, I’m Alexis — owner of AB Equestrian in Laurel, Montana (off West 4th Street).
For over 20 years, I’ve helped horses and their owners build confident, successful partnerships. From imprinting foals and foundation/halter work to starting under saddle and preparing for the trail or show pen, I’m here to help you move forward with a solid plan.
I specialize in:
• Starting young horses correctly
• Desensitizing for trail and competition
• Halter, Trail, Western & Hunter Equitation
• Rider balance and confidence
• Helping owners sync with a new horse
• Trailer loading/unloading issues
• Bolting, rearing, bucking, and other problem-solving needs
I believe in working with owners and their horses, not just sending horses off for a quick 30–60 days. Real results take time — most horses need 90+ days for lasting success — and I love being part of that process alongside you.
Private sessions: $55 (on my horse or yours)

With over 22 years running a boarding facility and 5 years of hands-on experience in a large animal vet clinic, I can assist with rehab care, bandaging, medications, hand walking, and more.
If you’re ready for steady progress in a supportive, professional environment — let’s get to work.

My husband is amazing 👏 he was able to halter and load both boys without a problem. Farrier appointment is why we brought them home for the night.
Paint just turned a year old a few days ago and the roan is about 5 years old now.
Mind you i spent yesterday at the hospital and they think our baby will be here in at least a week. Still having contractions for 2 weeks now but they sent me home.

Geese alot of drama over me hiring other folks to work with my roan. Even to the point of lies about him being owned by a lady locally. Seriously I bought him from the BLS loose pen sale as a weanling. He was said to come from the Crow Rez untouched. He is super with me but over the last year I have found he doesn't like being worked by others.
This is also why my training program includes sessions for the Owner’s of client horses so they can really work their horse when they leave our program.
Rates change for our programs June 2026 as we are prioritizing quality of our programs for horses and people.

A horse can be one way with a person but reality is until others start interacting and working the horse with the same methods you really can't see where the needed training needs more improvements. This is why my personal horse struggles in his training. This is the 6th person to come help fix the challenges in the 2 years I have owned him. Mind you early spring 2025 I was able to do a bunch with him on ground and under saddle with a relaxed level head in a halter and loose ring snaffle. Reality is hard but I am excited to see how he builds up with Dakota from DR Equine Services. She is doing everything I have done and would do but I am due in 4 weeks to have my baby.

Since the snow has melted time for mudd management and let everyone have time to get out and stretch. Having 3 stud colts under 2 and mare's in heat are definitely a challenge but we are managing with what we have to keep them on good terms. Love being able to work with these guys.
