Running a little behind on my posts, today Corporate Measure our 3 year gelding was entered in the 2nd Race at Laurel , a one turn mile with J.D Acosta in the irons. Corporate Measure and Pat the Bat dueled head to head for the lead from the 1/16 pole to the wire with Pat the Bat getting the head bob at the wire. Dang!! Second by a whisker, Good job Ferris!
Not much to shout about today at Laurel Park.
Cherokee Empire came up a little short of effort but was turned out impeccably. One Roll will be making the trip to Penn National (Harrisburg, Pa) to compete in a 6 furlong dash tomorrow night. Ron and Chrissy won't be making that 6 hour trip (one way). >)))))))°>
On the way to Laurel Park to see Cherokee Empire compete in the 3rd race on the card today. It will be a seven furlong event, post time for the 3rd race will 1:30 .
Cherokee Empire ran his eyeballs out today and finished 6th. He ran a faster time today than when won on October 8th. The speed held up, and the race went in 1:10 flat for 6 panels. That's fast.
Back to Laurel Park today, Cherokee Empire is entered in the 4th race, a 6 furlong dash. A field of 9 horses will go to post. Very competitive field with a combined total of 27 wins for 2014 and a total of combined victories lifetime for this field is 69. Cherokee taking top honors with 14 lifetime victories, fingers crossed for victory 15!

I'm going to do a better job of keeping the Razor Blade Racing page up to date. We were extremely disappointed that Colonial Downs failed to provide thoroughbred racing this summer, it has been a vital part of our operation. Current partners in Razor Blade Racing, Ron Hardin, Chrissy Hardin and Ferris Allen who also serves as Trainer. Horses: Corporate Measures, Cherokee Empire and One Roll.
