Great form and positioning. Elbows locked and use ​​​​​​​​
your body to give compressions.​​​​​​​​

Maintain a straight back and shoulders directly above your hands. Push down on the chest for at least 2 inches (Adult and child). When performing compressions, use your entire body weight (not just your arms).​​​​​​​​

I find out a lot of my students have trouble with positioning and tire early. Instead of locking their elbow and using their body to go in with a compression, they tend to bobble and use just their arm, which will make you extremely tired quickly.​​​​​​​​

They’ll just leave you hungry again. The most nutritious snacks combine healthy proteins, carbs, and fats, like whole-grain crackers with low-fat cheese or homemade popcorn tossed with olive oil.​​​​​​​​

Some people think that as a babysitter, it is not their responsibility to learn these skills. If a disaster was to strike, they would simply call emergency services and allow a trained paramedic to perform CPR instead. However, what many fail to remember is that even in the best of circumstances, it can take an ambulance as long as twelve minutes to respond to an emergency call.​​​​​​​​

As a provider of child care, you have the responsibility to do everything you can to look after and ensure the safety of the child that is under your supervision. With CPR training, you can be sure that in a time of emergency, you can give the child you are looking after the best fighting chance of surviving.​​​​​​​​
