Lauderhill Fire Rescue and the Professional Firefighters Association of South Florida, had the pleasure of hosting a Firefighter Orientation for young men and women interested in joining the fire service.
Attendees had the opportunity to hear from both seasoned veterans and younger firefighters, gaining valuable insight into the profession, daily responsibilities, and the dedication it takes to serve the community.
From the basics of the job, to the
requirements needed to begin the journey, this orientation was all about mentorship, leadership, and preparing the next generation of firefighters. Thank you to everyone who came out and showed interest in becoming part of the fire service family.

Please Join Fire Chief Robert Torres and the members of Lauderhill Fire Rescue in congratulating Anthony O’Berry on his promotion to Driver/Engineer.
Anthony’s dedication to our department and community has never gone unnoticed. Along with his operational role, he proudly leads our Fire Explorer Program, helping mentor and guide the next generation of firefighters through his passion and commitment to the fire service.
We are proud to see him continue growing within our department and look forward to his continued leadership.

Please join Fire Chief Robert Torres and the entire Lauderhill Fire Rescue family in congratulating Lexcy Belfon on his promotion to District Chief! Over the last 18 years, Chief Belfon has truly dedicated himself to our department and the community we serve. He’s risen straight through the ranks, proving his dedication at every level from firefighter to company officer, and now, District Chief. His career is a masterclass in hard work, steady leadership, and earning the respect of his peers day in and day out. We couldn't be prouder to see him reach this milestone, and we know he will continue to serve the City of Lauderhill with honor and distinction.

Lauderhill Fire Rescue was proud to welcome students from the Lauderhill University program to our Fire Headquarters today. The students received a behind-the-scenes look at the fire service, learned how firefighters and paramedics respond to emergencies, and saw firsthand how public safety operations support the City of Lauderhill every day.
Visits like this expose students to careers in public safety while reinforcing the values of service, teamwork, and leadership. We appreciate the opportunity to help educate and inspire the next generation of community leaders.
