Since 1949, May has been observed as National Mental Health Awareness Month, a time when advocates and activists across the country draw attention to the mental health issues that affect as many as one in four Americans. Today, more people die from su***de in the United States than from traffic accidents or homicides, and we lose 22 veterans to su***de daily.
Unfortunately, because of the stigma associated with mental illness, many people are too ashamed or embarrassed to seek the help they need for themselves or their loved ones. National Mental Health Awareness Month is a time when we work together to break through that stigma. We express compassion for those who struggle with mental health issues, and we draw attention to the proven methods that can help change their lives for the better.
As Mental Health Health Awareness Month is slowly approaching us I found a site that's preparing for it, as they’re selling some cool merchandise! Check it out and let’s show awareness either for your own sake, the sake of someone we love or our world in general because

The past 18 months have been incredibly hard on so many people and in so many different ways. Mental illness affects everyone, directly or indirectly, through family, friends or other loved ones. Even though we are making progress, there is STILL stigma, shame and guilt around mental illness.
It is important to advocate for access to care, equal services, and support for those experiencing mental illness. Take some time today to focus on your wellbeing and mental health.

A Hope For Today....
There's tons of programs that help low income people/families but not much help for the working class. Hardship has no socioeconomic status and Hilson want to be a change agent in this by providing rental assistance (up to $1,800) along with financial literacy, volunteer opportunities and assisting with other or additional employment opportunities. Our goal is to help the family remain in their place of residence to further establish stability. Our organization is seeking support to fund a program that will aid in the decrease of homelessness.
