A Christmas Carol (2019) may just be the best Dickensian adaptation for the simple fact that Scrooge rejects forgiveness for himself as selfish, rather pledging if given a second chance he will make a specific and positive change for others. Now streaming on “I do not want it (forgiveness) … the only change I want the spirits to make is to spare the life of him.” 🎄
