All of us from the Adapted Learning Center and Marin Parents Education Group are deeply saddened by the passing of Frances Holmes. She was an incredible spirit and a gift to the earth and everyone who was able to live in her presence. She will be remembered for all of her wisdom and guidance and the bright light that she was. Fly high sweet angel 🪽 💗💫

Thank you to Northbridge Academy for inviting me to speak with parents about managing homework at home. It was a pleasure to connect with such an engaged parent community and share practical strategies for creating routines, reducing homework stress, and supporting children in building confidence, independence, and strong study habits. I’m grateful for the warm welcome and thoughtful participation throughout the session.

I’m so excited to be presenting for the parents of Northbridge Academy for an upcoming virtual Lunch & Learn! 💻✨
We’ll be diving into how to support students with dyslexia (and sometimes ADHD) at home—especially when it comes to homework. My goal is to share practical, realistic strategies that you can actually use right away to reduce stress, build independence, and support your child without it turning into a daily struggle.
If homework is a challenge in your home, you are not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it on your own. At Adapted Learning Center, we’re here to support both students and parents with tools, strategies, and individualized guidance that make a real difference.
Looking forward to connecting with the Northbridge community! 💛

Sometimes the biggest wins happen outside of the session 💛
This incredible student has been working so hard on building his executive functioning skills—planning, organization, and taking initiative. And on his own, he went home and created this chore wheel for himself and his siblings out of cardboard.
No prompt. No assignment. Just ownership.
This is what we’re really working toward:
✔️ independence
✔️ follow-through
✔️ internal motivation
✔️ confidence
I am SO proud of him— it represents growth, effort, and a shift toward self-management.
