COMMITTED. Sometimes we start something and then life gets in the way. For Day of Service this year we helped put in a Veterans garden at Barrington Assisted Living. Annie and Steve continue to visit and make sure the garden continues to thrive during the hot weather and severe drought conditions. Today they added butterflies. The residents have shown great appreciation for the new garden and I hope you'll join me in showing appreciation to Annie and Steve for their continued dedication to this project ❤️🥰

This Friday, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that marks June 19, 1865, when news of emancipation finally reached enslaved African Americans in Texas—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on our nation’s history, honor the enduring spirit of freedom, and celebrate the progress made toward a more perfect union. It serves as a reminder that liberty and opportunity are values worth preserving for every American.
