Inside Ink Tattoo Studio

❤️ A sincere thank you from our Inside Ink Family.

Every time someone orders something featuring Dean’s artwork, it means more to us than you probably realize.

Dean went to prison at just 16 years old and spent 30 years wrongfully incarcerated. He came home and started rebuilding his life through art — and to this day, he still has not been compensated by the State of Florida for those lost years.

Inside Ink has always been about more than tattoos. It’s about art, second chances, rebuilding, and creating something beautiful out of a life that didn’t always go the way it should have.

So to everyone who has purchased a notebook, pillow, shirt, print, or anything else featuring Dean’s artwork:

Thank you. Truly. ❤️

You’re not just buying something from a small business. You’re helping keep an artist’s work and story alive.

🌊 A little piece of Indian Rocks Beach — with a story behind it.

This is one of those pieces that means a lot to us.

The Aphrodite artwork on this cropped hoodie is Dean’s original art. Dean was wrongfully incarcerated at just 16 years old and spent 30 years in prison for a crime he did not commit.

During those years, art was a huge part of his life. He dreamed for decades about what he would do if he ever made it home — and one of those dreams was to have his own tattoo studio.

He finally came home in 2018 and opened Inside Ink Tattoo Studio right here in Pinellas County.

The State of Florida has not compensated Dean for the 30 years he lost.

So when you buy one of Dean’s art pieces, order a shirt or hoodie, or come into Inside Ink for a tattoo, it truly matters to us.

Every purchase and every tattoo helps support Dean, our family, and helps keep his 30-year dream of owning his own tattoo studio alive. ❤️

And there’s something pretty special about seeing artwork that Dean created during such a difficult part of his life now being worn in places like Indian Rocks Beach — out in the sunshine, by the water, and in the freedom he waited so long to come home to. 🌊☀️

If you love Indian Rocks Beach, original art, or just want to support a local artist and small business with a story behind it, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Dean and Inside Ink. You really are helping us keep this dream going. ❤️

🌿 Some tattoos connect chapters of our lives.

This beautiful piece was done by Dean for one of my dear friends from growing up. ❤️

There is something really special about watching someone who has been part of my story for so many years sit down in Dean’s chair and become part of his story, too.

Life takes us in so many different directions. Years pass, families grow, things change—and somehow those old friendships can still find their way back into our lives.

And this time, through art. 💙

Dean loves creating tattoos that actually mean something to the person wearing them. It isn’t about getting people in and out of the chair. It’s about talking, connecting, hearing the story behind the idea, and creating something they’ll carry with them.

After losing decades of his own life to wrongful incarceration, Dean is still rebuilding. He has never been compensated by the State of Florida, let alone given an apology and Inside Ink is a piece of the life and future he has fought to create since coming home.

So if you’ve been saying, “I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo…” maybe this is your sign. ❤️

Bring Dean your idea. Bring him the picture you’ve had saved on your phone forever. Bring him the tattoo you wish you could cover up. Or just bring him your story and let the two of you figure it out together.

Every appointment helps keep this little studio—and Dean’s dream—alive.

🌸 A piece of Dean’s story you can bring into your home.

This artwork means more to us than I can really put into words.

Dean drew this pink cherry blossom while he was still incarcerated, before he ever came home. At a time when so much of his life and freedom had been taken from him, art was something no one could take away.

Today, that original artwork lives on as this beautiful 14” × 14” throw pillow. 🌸

Dean came home in 2018 after decades of wrongful incarceration. He has still never been compensated by the State of Florida, so rebuilding his life has truly been just that — rebuilding.

Inside Ink is part of that dream.

Every tattoo.
Every print.
Every piece of his artwork.
Every purchase.

It all helps us keep that dream alive and gives Dean the opportunity to build something from the talent he carried with him through all those years.

When you buy one of Dean’s pieces, you’re not just buying a pillow. You’re bringing home a little piece of his art, his history, and his second chance. ❤️

Thank you for supporting Dean, supporting original art, and supporting Inside Ink. Even sharing this post helps more than you know. 🌸
