🐾 As a reminder, adoption fees are currently WAIVED due to our ongoing construction project, making this the perfect time to welcome a new furry family member into your home.

Meet Lady! 🐶 Lady spent some time checking out the grounds of the historic Belleview Inn in Belleair with Commissioner Brian Scott yesterday. She might be almost 8 years old, but this girl still has plenty of pep in her step.

🌻 Lady has been with Pinellas County Animal Services for 245 days. If you're looking for a mature dog with a gentle heart, a playful spirit and lots of love to give, Lady might be your perfect match.

🛠️Temporary Dog Fosters Needed!🛠️ THANK YOU to the families who stepped up to foster a pup so far, but we still need to move at least 20 more into temporary homes by June 15 to ensure we have space at the shelter to continue bringing in strays.

Do you have space on your couch to foster one of our pups for 3-4 weeks during construction? The lobby roof is being replaced and it’s about to get noisy and dusty around here!!

We provide a crate, food, medical care, a harness, collar & leash for the duration of your foster, too! 💛 If you have another dog at home, you can bring them to the shelter for a meet & greet. 💜

🔆Spotlight on this beautiful girl: Ophelia the Unbreakable! 🔆

🚑Ophelia arrived with a large hole in her side that had been there for quite some time!! Our amazing medical team spent hours repairing the tissue and closing the hole one layer at a time. She spent days recovering & being pampered in their offices and now, she’s ready to shine!

💜Ophelia is the picture of strength and resiliency. Shelter dogs are not broken—they are survivors. They are fighters. They are living proof that with compassion, healing, and a second chance, incredible transformations are possible.

🐾Please come meet Ophelia at Pinellas County Animal Services: 12450 Ulmerton Rd, Largo from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Saturday.

🛠️As construction begins to replace our damaged lobby roof, we are also looking for temporary fosters for 30-40 dogs for up to 3-4 weeks. Medical care, a crate, harness, leash & food are all provided during the foster period, too!

FREE services include:
