Having a full circle moment tonight.

When I first came down to Florida on an exploration trip, I stayed at a place on Clearwater Beach, and my first night here I walked to the first bar that had music. Struck up a conversation with the dude that was playing, and when I mentioned I was considering moving down here to play music, the conversation shifted to basically him telling me not to.

A month later I was back down here again now looking for a place to live, and lo and behold I saw that he was playing here again so I came back. Asked him for a few tips for where I might look for work, and more or less told me to "f**k off." Something about playing at this place as a "f**k you" back at him was always in the back of my mind. After two years of trying I finally got through to the booking agent that books this place and played here tonight. I felt so much gratification, I played with this huge grin and energy all night, and I think I easily had the most fun and played my best gig since I've moved here.

Truly blessed to be able to do what I do.
