Our mission is to meet the educational, cultural and social needs of our diverse community by providing quality materials, information and services.

We thank you for your patience with material returns while our new sorter was delivered and assembled! Items are now able to be returned again AND you are able to place several items through the return slot at a time!

A huge congratulations to our community partner Heritage Village for winning the 2026 Florida Recreation and Park Association Award for Innovative Programming for Pages in the Park! We are so happy to be able to partner with them to bring stories out into the community.

Our final book for our Refugee/ Immigrant author series is Sour Heart by Jenny Zhang. Sour Heart captures the messy, vivid coming-of-age experiences of young daughters in Chinese immigrant families in 1990s New York.

Due to equipment installation Largo Library is not able to process returns September 21st-23rd. Please return all items to other Pinellas County Public Libraries, with the exception of children's toys/games only.
The library will still be open regular hours.

Our third book for our Refugee/ Immigrant author series is Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie. Home Fire is a modern day retelling of the ancient tragedy Antigone that explores the devastating clash between family loyalty and state power through the lives of two British Muslim families.

The Seed Library at Largo Public Library has reached 10,000 check outs! We are thrilled to have reached this milestone in just a little over 2 years. Thank you to all of the patrons who have checked out seeds and supported this program. We are building a sustainable community of gardeners, supporting native pollinators, and providing access to homegrown food for everyone. If you post photos of your gardens and crops, please be sure to tag !

Today marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11/2001. We join in remembering the lives lost, honoring the survivors, and paying tribute to the heroes of that day. The 9/11 Memorial and Museum website offers virtual timelines, oral histories, an updated section to commemorate the 25th anniversary.
