This past Saturday, we gathered for National Trails Day®️, and to say it was beautiful would be an understatement. We brought together an incredible group of women of color (ages 30–60) for our special “Sisterhood on the Trail” hike. The weather perfect, the energy was unmatched, and the connections made were truly magical.
We don’t just hike monthly; we build community. But this weekend, we took things to the next level! We wrapped up our trek by socializing over tropical smoothies and delicious catered deli sandwiches, catching all the vibes through the lens of our event photographer.
A massive thank you to the American Hiking Society()for sponsoring this major event and making it all possible. We also owe a huge shoutout to the local Park Rangers from Prince William Forest Park (), whose incredible helpfulness ensured everything came together flawlessly.
These are only a few of the great moments capture. Swipe through to see the joy, the views, and the sisterhood!

Saturday was the PERFECT day for a beautiful long hike! We had a great hike with people looking to Level Up their mileage and endurance. Little Bennett Regional Park in Clarksburg, Maryland has a beautiful 10.4 mile trail that is rated “moderate.” The moderate rating is more specific to its length rather than the trail itself being difficult to navigate. Check it out sometime!
For June, we just have one Hike, our National Trails Day: Sisterhood on the Trail Hike event this Saturday, June 6. Then, we are headed to Spain! Our Spain international Hiking trip is finally here! This trip is special in the fact that it hits three countries in one trip. We first will be hiking in Catalonia, Spain. Then our trip takes us over to the country of Andorra where we will hike the Andorra Mountains and the Spanish Pyrenees Mountains. Lastly, we cross the border into France and will hike the French Pyrenees Mountains. It is going to be an absolutely beautiful and amazing trip. We look forward to sharing pictures and videos of all the amazing adventures we had once we return.

We are officially less than a month away from our Spain International Hiking trip! This trip is going to be amazing, as we cover three different countries in one trip. First, we will arrive in Barcelona, Spain, then we will head to the Andorra mountains, (Andorra is its own small independent country), lastly we will be hiking in the French Pyrenees mountains, getting out boots in France as well.
We can’t wait for another great experience with great people seeing beautiful landscapes! Although this trip is full, if you’re still interested in traveling with us, we have a trip planned in September to Morocco that still has space available. (Link in Instagram bio).

I came home today to some goodies from American Hiking Society in support of our National Trails Day hiking event on Saturday, June 6, at Prince William National Park. These were unexpected goodies, in addition to the goodies we have already ordered for the event! Hikers are going to walk away with some great stuff!
Don’t forget to RSVP to our free National Trails Day: Hike, Restore, and Celebrate Event (Link in Instagram Bio). We are going to have a great time with great people. This event is open to all hikers, however, we are having a special emphasis on celebrating women of color ages 30-60 to bring more awareness, excitement, and visibility to outdoor spaces.
We look forward to seeing you there!

We had an incredible time this past Saturday for our 3-6-9 Hike! 🥾 It turns out everyone was feeling ambitious—no takers for the 3-miler this time! We split into 6 and 9-mile groups and took on the trails at Fountainhead Regional Park. Between the perfect weather and the great company, it couldn’t have been a better day.
We have one more long hike this month coming up on Saturday, May 30th. This will be our “Level Up” hike featuring a full 10-mile loop. Come join us!✨

We are thrilled to announce that on Saturday, June 6, Destination Hike will be celebrating National Trails Day®️sponsored by American Hiking Society. National Trails Day is an annual event where multiple groups and individuals across the country get out to celebrate, maintain, and promote the nations trails.
Destination Hike will be joining in the celebration with an event at Prince William Forrest Park that includes hiking, restoration, and celebration. As we navigate the trail, we will practice the “Leave No Trace” principle where we will pick up any litter or trash along the way. And we will conclude our event with a catered lunch and Social.
This FREE event is open to everyone, however, we will be specifically highlighting a group historically underrepresented in outdoor spaces, women of color ages 30–60. This demographic is currently seeing a powerful surge in outdoor participation and we want to capture that in this event.
