We had the opportunity to spend time with nearly 70 residents of our community, sharing a few simple safety tips to help them avoid becoming victims of crime before enjoying a fun game of lotería together. It was a wonderful way to connect, have some laughs, and spend time with our community.

A big thank you to our friends at Laredo Municipal Housing for partnering with us to make this event possible and donating lotería prizes. We’re also incredibly grateful to PJ’s Coffee of Laredo for keeping everyone fueled with delicious coffee and to Los Pasteles Bakery for generously donating fresh pan dulce. Your kindness helped make the morning even more special.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success! 💙🚔☕🥐 PJ's Coffee (1705 E Del Mar Blvd - Laredo, TX) Los Pasteles Laredo

Good morning, community!

Next week we will join Melissa R Cigarroa, City Council Member for District 3 for a town hall meeting. This is a great opportunity for us to meet in person and share information about our neighborhoods.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

🚲 If you’ve been downtown lately, you’ve probably seen our bike officers out and about.

They’ve been riding through the plazas, around City Hall, the Center for the Arts, El Metro, pretty much all over downtown just keeping an eye on things and staying close to the community.

They’re on both regular bikes and e-bikes, so they can move around quickly and get to where they’re needed.

But honestly, the best part is how easy they are to talk to. Whether it’s answering a question, helping someone out, or just sharing a quick high five, they’re out there connecting with people.

That’s really the goal, just being present and making sure people feel safe.

If you see them, say hi
