Amnesia

Today Amnesia closes its doors to the public. It’s a bittersweet but feel like it’s the right decision. I’ve always said things happen for a reason, and I feel it’s the right time to close its doors.
These past two years I’ve been very blessed with good friends and family who have been with me all along supporting me; thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My faithful clients from Amnesia, who were always there regardless of whether we had a full house or not, I’d like to thank you for being true supporters. You laughed, drank, and danced the night away giving life to Amnesia weekend after weekend.
I add Amnesia to another one of my accomplishments. I do not see this as failure; I see this as a learning experience. One which made me more knowledgeable and allowed me to see the logistics behind selling a cold beer, delicious cocktail, or a tasty shot to good-time seekers.
I’m glad I got an opportunity to have met plenty of new people whom I’ll never forget: bar owners who were willing to help from the very beginning to the very end; customers who shared their ideas, compliments, experiences at other bars, etc.; great employees who always reminded me to keep my head up high and not to worry because by 12 we would start getting people, thank you guys... my securities, my djs, and my waitresses.
I would like to thank my beautiful sister who was with me every second of my endeavor. I wouldn’t have done it with out her; thank you very much. Words can’t describe how thankful I am. You are a true definition of “l got your back!”
Being a small business owner is not easy. There’s a lot of bumps on the road. However, I would encourage anyone to follow their dreams. Take risks. And have fun while doing so. Would I do it again... definitely. When the time is right, I shall start all over again!!!
