What all America needs
Tennessee has become the first state in the U.S. to mandate gun safety courses in public schools. The new law, signed by Governor Bill Lee, will take effect in the 2025–2026 school year and requires all K-12 students to receive annual training on basic gun safety practices. The courses, which will focus on simple safety rules like what to do if a child finds a gun, aim to reduce gun-related accidents. Schools will not use live guns or ammunition during the instruction. This legislation makes Tennessee a trailblazer in addressing gun safety in schools, with the hope of making students more aware of the risks and proper actions in case of firearm exposure.

Kicking off 2026 with a BIG win for gun owners. Thanks to President Trump's leadership and NRA's allies in Congress, the $200 NFA transfer tax for suppressors, short-barreled rifles and shotguns, and any other weapons defined by the NFA has been eliminated.
This is just the beginning. 🇺🇸

This would also affect gun ownership and would allow, legal users of medical ma*****na to own fi****ms.
Would also allow people to apply for federal jobs as long as they have a prescription. (In theory) We will see some huge changes if this goes through….. still no list tho 👀 🏝️ 🐸 🍵
🚨Major Shift in U.S. Drug Policy: President Trump Orders Ma*****na Reclassified
A sweeping change to federal drug policy could have long-term implications nationwide, including here in Laredo.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday directing the federal government to reclassify ma*****na from a Schedule I to a Schedule III controlled substance, marking one of the most significant shifts in drug policy in decades.
Speaking from the Oval Office alongside medical professionals, Trump said the decision was driven by widespread public demand and the medical needs of patients.
Trump added that he received overwhelming support for the move, noting he heard little opposition.
The executive order instructs the U.S. attorney general to take all necessary steps to complete the formal rulemaking process as quickly as possible. Under current federal law, Schedule I drugs are defined by the Drug Enforcement Administration as having no accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. That category includes drugs such as he**in, L*D, ecstasy, and until now, ma*****na.
Under the new classification, ma*****na would fall under Schedule III, which applies to substances with a moderate to low potential for physical and psychological dependence. Other Schedule III drugs include Tylenol with codeine, testosterone, anabolic steroids, and ketamine.
While the rulemaking process is still required, the announcement signals a major policy shift that could influence medical treatment, law enforcement priorities, and future legislation.
