Amazing middle and high school students joined us for a week full of creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning! ๐ง๐
Throughout the week, students:
๐น Learned how to design their own models using 3D software
๐น Built their very own 3D printers from scratch ๐คฏ
๐น Created and printed custom projects ๐จ๐จ๏ธ
๐น Explored STEM through fun, interactive challenges led by our awesome student engineers ๐ฅ
The week wrapped up with incredible presentations where students proudly showcased their creations to their families! ๐ค๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ๐ฌ

Discover TAMIU!
Discover TAMIU is one of the biggest events that we provide to the community. Here, families can come together and explore what our campus has to offer. At the School of Engineering, the kids and adults have the opportunity to ride some of the vehicles our students have made. We want to thank TAMIU Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, DustyMotor, and DustyTron for their support. This is an event where everyone can have fun and see how much fun our students have as engineers.
The MSEIP program supports our students in making these projects a reality. This lets our students work on projects and experience what it takes to be an engineer. All their hard work is shown off for the public to enjoy. We hope to inspire the next generation of engineers!

Our engineering labs!
We have wonderful labs where our students work on different projects that are supported through the MSEIP program. To show off what our students do, we host lab tours to the kids of Laredo.
We get to show them the working environment of an engineer. They get to see the hard work that all our students do to complete their projects. We hope to inspire kids so that they can be engineers here at TAMIU.

Career days and events!
At the MSEIP program, we do what we can to give back to our community and visit different schools around Laredo. Our students have the opportunity to share their projects and experiences with the kids in Laredo. We also bring in some of the major projects they have done that kids enjoy like our cars and 3D prints.
We wish to excite the kids of Laredo to try and experience the wonderful world of engineering!

Support our future professional engineers!
The MSEIP program has made it possible to give our engineering students and TAMIU Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers the opportunity to travel to the SHPE National Convention.
Here, our students are given the opportunity to speak with experienced engineering professionals and land career boosting opportunities such as internships and full-time job offers.
Our students had the opportunity to travel to Anaheim, California for this convention and experience the beauty of the nice California weather. It was a lot of work for this to be made possible, but our students had a blast and created many fond memories.
