Jorge Castaneda Boxing

Sunday mass with my boy 🙏🏻

Jorgito’s first birthday party 🎂🏎️

This past weekend was a new experience for all of us. It was my first time stepping in the ring as a coach and first time for Eli, Gemaro, and Carlos competing in their first fight.

I am extremely proud of these kids. The 3 of them showed heart. We went 1 for 3 but you win and you learn. That’s the way boxing is.

Now back in the gym to keep on working hard. We’ve got a long way to go 💪🏻

Kids ready for physicals 💪🏻

My boy Eli making his amateur debut this Saturday. I’m excited for him and proud of what a dedicated kid he has become. He’s been working extremely hard with the rest of the team to come out with a positive outcome.

Two other of my trainees will also be fighting, Carlos Ornelas and Gemaro Garcia. I am beyond proud of how far they have come. Hard work is done, now it’s time to show out 🥊

I lastly want to thank Eddie Garcia for making us part of this event. Thank you for going out your way to getting my fighters matched.

Today, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office had the honor of welcoming Frio County Sheriff Pedro O. Salinas for a visit and a tour of several of our specialized divisions.
The visit included tours of our Border Community Tactical Operation Center where our emergency response and operational capabilities were showcased; our Boxing Gym and Activity Center, which serves as a place to promote discipline, fitness, and mentorship. Sheriff Palacios was truly impressed by the life-changing impact the gym has on our community and the important role it plays in providing local youth with a positive environment that helps keep them away from negative influences and off the streets. Last stop was our Cyber Unit Division, where deputies demonstrated the impactful work being done through Operation Child Guardian to protect children and combat online exploitation.
Under the leadership of Sheriff Martin Cuellar, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices with fellow law enforcement agencies. Sheriff Cuellar has always believed that when agencies work together, every community benefits.
We thank the Frio County Sheriff's Office for taking the time to visit and look forward to continuing to work together in the spirit of cooperation, innovation, and service. Sheriff Martin Cuellar said, "Strong partnerships are the foundation of effective law enforcement. By opening our doors, sharing our knowledge, and learning from one another, we build stronger agencies, safer communities, and a united commitment to protecting those we proudly serve."
