on this vehicle we are working out the kinks, we did end up rebuilding the alternator, it is charging marvelously. The other issue we were taking care of was an intermittent starting issue, we diagnosed it as a bad starter solenoid causing it to hesitate upon starting. The issue now is that we are not pulling up gas from the tank. we noticed that after using a different fuel pump on the system and having the same issue. we ended up using a gas can as the tank for testing purposes and the vehicle starts and charges with no issue. we are leaning towards sediment or rust clogging the lines of the system causing fuel to not pass through the lines.

Rebuilding an Alternator
For this client i am using an Alternator we had from an old build to rebuild his. The issue we came across is that the engine is not original to the vehicle so we are having trouble locating the correct alternator for it now on this one we were able to use parts of an alternator we had to rebuild his alternator.
At the local parts store they do not have rebuild kits for alternators on hand, if they are able to get them they do need the vehicle specs or the part number on the alternator. Unfortunately we don't have either one of those. This was the faster way to get this alternator working and the vehicle running again.

Rebuilding an Alternator
On this vehicle the engine is not original to the vehicle, we found that the alternator was not.charging the battery sufficiently. This Alternator was putting out 12.4V, usually Alternators push out 13.2V-14.4V with the vehicle on. This one was low barely charging the battery.
Since we don't know what the engine is or came out of we cannot just buy another Alternator and a rebuild kit would be useful but they do not have any locally, it would be to look for one online. U fortunately since we do not have any part numbers on the alternator or know the vehicle it came out of locating the correct one is an issue.
We did have an alternator on the shelf we ended up sourcing parts out of to rebuild this alternator.

The main thing we will be doing is setting the timing on this vehicle, we are going to physically be putting it in TDC to mark the harmonic balancer to check the timing and adjust it accordingly. Apart from that we will be buttoning some things up,new fuel filters, adding Trans fluid, fixing the exhaust leaks. We might have to rebuild the carburetor, there is some issues with fuel delivery from that so we might have to open it up either way. I am confident we will be getting this to run smoothly to be a daily driver or a weekend warrior.

2009 Toyota Camry
Rear Strut replacement for both passenger and driver side. On this one you need to remove the back seat bottom and sides to have access to the strut mount bolts. Apart from that it is a good idea to use another jack to move the knuckle when you are removing the strut.

Client mentioned battery light came on, they changed out the battery thinking that was the issue but the light stayed on.
We did check alternator output and confirmed the alternator was bad and will be replacing it.

Brake Service for the front. On this vehicle the brake pads were installed wrong, we did notice the pads were uneven because of this. We did install new rotors and pads, installing them correctly. Although this wasn't noticed recently we did mention it to the client. Its always a good idea to look into who you choose to service your vehicle, whether it be a shop or an an individual offering services. Not everyone is certified, not everyone has good ethics, even if its not with us, look into who works on your vehicle.

2017 Toyota Yaris iA
Client mentioned a grinding noise on the front passenger side, upon inspection we noticed that the inside of the rotor was being ground down by the brake pad. When we took off the components we noticed that there was still some life left on the brake pads, originally we thought it was metal to metal contact but it turns out that the pads were installed wrong. We're not going to name the shop but it was another mechanic shop who did the installation. Just a notice when you are looking for a mechanic it's not always wise to get the cheapest one that'll do the job. This is what can happen when you choose a better price over quality work. Even if it's not with us always look into who you choose to work on your vehicle, not everyone is certified and not everyone knows what they are doing.

2015 Chevy Sonic 1.8L
Motor mount replacement, on this vehicle we bought the mount kit which provided all 3 mounts. We were able to replace all of them fixing the engine moving issue.
