The VAIL Center for Independent Living and our Laredo staff, Ricardo Medina and Jesus Sanchez, recently traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with our elected representatives and discuss the vital services provided by Centers for Independent Living. We had the opportunity to explore how our representatives can best support their constituents in light of policies that may impact them.

Announcement for Laredo consumers!!!

City of Laredo has been under a water boil notice since 10/10/2024.

They have multiple sites around the city of Laredo where water bottles are being distributed.

The information is being provided daily which includes sites and times via the City of Laredo - Government page.

For people with disabilities that do not have access to transportation or assistance they would have to call 3-1-1 or 956-721-2480 to get on a waitlist and the local fire department will distribute the water to them but there is currently a waitlist of 3 days.

It has already been declared a disaster by the Governor.
