Choices for Today

For over two decades Choices for Today, founded by Gerald Hartnett, impacted students from high school to elementary grades. Gerald’s passion stemmed from ministering to people in prisons and his sense of urgency to reach young people to prevent them from going that direction. With his contacts with professional
athletes and speakers, we were able to provide meaningful programs to tens of thousands of students addressing challenges that face all young people today encouraging them to make “Right Choices Listening to Right Voices.” In the past, through the use of cards filled out by the students, there were many interventions
in situations where students struggled.

However, with cultural changes, the time has come that the initial goals need to be met by other means. Due to the difficulty in raising funds and getting professional speakers within our budget and the increasing difficulty getting into schools, the board has decided to dissolve Choices for Today. Rather than providing an expensive one-hour program, we are seeking to donate the
remaining funds of Choices to a viable and relevant ministry that would have a continuing impact and carry on Gerald’s dream and lasting legacy.
