Today some of our dancers participated in a volunteer project to help clean up Laporte. Thank you to everyone who was able to help and thank you to LaPorte County Solid Waste District and the Laporte Walmart for donating items.

DFLP LLC dance team Launches Shoe Drive Fundraiser
to Raise Money for competition entry fees, travel expenses, and dance attire fees

(LaPorte, IN 2026) – DFLP LLC dance team is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser in May - June 2026 to raise funds for competition entry fees, travel expenses, costumes/shoe fees, and more. DFLP LLC dance team will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Those dollars will benefit DFLP LLC dance team. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used and new shoes at our studio: 910 Lincolnway LaPorte, IN 46350.

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise (small business) partners. Funds2Orgs works with micro-entrepreneurs in helping them create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunity and jobs are limited. Proceeds from the sales of the shoes collected in shoe drive fundraisers are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send her son to law school.
"We are excited about our shoe drive," said Kristin, DFLP LLC head coach. "We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money for our competition dancers who compete at regional and national levels and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It's a win-win for everyone.”

By donating gently worn, used and new shoes to the DFLP LLC dance team, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives around the world.

Our dance teams perform in local parades, compete at regional & national levels, take classes at professional dance conventions, and travel around the U.S to enhance their dance opportunities. We strive to provide opportunities to every student regardless of income status and therefore need support from our community to help fundraise and allow every dancer the same opportunities to further their dance education.
