Wow! It’s been a really long time since I posted on here. I figure most of my clients I see often enough in person to keep you all updated. I know I’ve talked about a price increase for awhile now but the time has finally come. If you’ve been in to see me in the last few weeks you’ve probably seen the sign on my mirror about this but if you haven’t been in in the last month, now you know. Effective tomorrow, November 1st I’m increasing prices by about 10% on all services. I hated having to do it but with inflation and rising cost of products, electricity, water, everything, it was necessary. Thank you for understanding.

I’m still working my way down my list rescheduling these last 2 months. If you haven’t heard from me please be patient. I’m feeling a little overwhelmed with starting back this week and I’m still tracking a few shipments that should be in in the next day or two. I just wanted to remind everyone the new salon rules so you are all aware... and if you are sick please call or text to reschedule.
Per the states new guidelines, for my clients I ask (and some of it is common sense) if you are sick, running a fever or displaying any symptoms please stay home, a mask is required, no guest is allowed in with you, only one person at a time. Also, because my children are upstairs and I need to keep them safe, no one is permitted upstairs. I am scheduling a sufficient amount of time in between clients so I can disinfect everything and to make sure none of you run into each other, so please try not to be late and cut into that time. Also there will be no more self serve for beverages from the fridge. I would prefer no food or drinks in the salon since you will be wearing a mask anyway but if you need to sip some water you’re gonna have to be real quick about it. I hope to see everyone soon. Stay happy and healthy!
I’m working on getting everyone booked for when I reopen next week. Please be patient with me. It’s a lot to reschedule 2 months worth of appointments.

😂 Don’t do it people! I know these are hard times. I’m missing all of you. Hopefully this stay at home order will end soon and we can all safely go about our business. If you had or have an appointment with me I will be calling to reschedule, in order, as soon as business is able to safely resume.
In this trying time I need to keep my family safe and I want all of my clients to be safe. My salon will be closed until further notice. Peace, Love, and good health to you all.

Tomorrow will be my last day working in the salon for a while and I am booked up. I will be back to work in May from maternity leave.
Just a heads up to all my clients, friends and family, scheduling is going to be tight for the next few weeks. Starting February 18th we are having some construction done. It shouldn’t effect the salon area but until I can work out the logistics, parking, noise etc I will be trying to schedule around that. Also my husband switches work schedules that same day effecting when I can work, who watches the kids, etc. Also that same week all my testing for my pregnancy starts, so multiple doctors appointments to have to schedule around. I will try my best to get back to everyone and try to get appointments scheduled in a timely manner but please be patient. If things go according to plan construction should be done by the second week of March and I should still have the rest of March to schedule appointments before I go on leave in April. If you have an appointment booked already plan on keeping it the same unless you hear from me. Thank you for your patience.

* The More You Know 🌈🌈🌈 ... Repost
・・・
I’m going to preach a little bit this morning because I’ve had to say no to several new guests as of late because of this. It absolutely breaks my heart when I hear clients say they colored their hair with henna, boxed dye or Ion color (yes even a Demi) while henna can be removed (but not always) with a ton of effort using castor oil and possibly 8-10 hours of work the other 2 options can not. These poor clients are devastated when they find out their hair will melt. I’ve done many test strands with the same end result. Metallic salts and textile dyes are no joke. You as the buyer literally have no idea what you just put in your hair. maybe it was pretty to start with (if you were one of the lucky ones) but it’s generally when you want to change your color the reality sets in. These dyes melt hair when Lightener is introduced. Often they can’t be removed using dye removers and bleach generally doesn’t do anything to change the color.
Hairdressers aren’t being snobby about boxed dyes. The reality is, we’ve spent hours trying to fix these and often clients are unhappy with the end result. They don’t understand that we can only do what your hair allows us too. I, honestly wish they wouldn’t sell it for a multitude of reasons but the biggest reason is that you most likely just signed yourself up for thousands of dollars IF it can be fixed at all and generally a 2 year sentence with hair you hate. While there are many who get lucky and color their hair successfully at home the fact is many don’t. It’s a gamble. The consumer sees a pretty picture on the box and assumes it’s going to come out like that and is safe 🤦🏼♀️
