Let's talk about a challenge that small and medium sized businesses face daily - communication. See below.

The customer did not say at any point that he did not want to leave a good review. In fact, the customer said he held off leaving bad reviews in the past, and stuck with the business despite their shortcomings. That is called loyalty, and we should value our loyal customers.

Apparently, this customer was not notified that he was racking up fees, or that the business was waiving them. You cannot do this in private, and then try and shove it back into your customers face later on. This is poor customer service management, which many small businesses face.

Please don't project a negative image for your business. Protect yourself with professional responses that move the conversation off line and towards a resolution.
