I’m incredibly proud to have the support of SEIU Michigan in my campaign for Michigan Attorney General. Representing more than 66,000 working people across our state, SEIU is on the frontlines fighting every day for dignity, fairness, and opportunity.
As someone who comes from a working-class family, this support means a great deal to me. As your next Attorney General, I’ll stand shoulder to shoulder with SEIU workers, because when labor is strong, Michigan is stronger.
Grateful to have SEIU as part of the powerful coalition of labor organizations backing our vision for a fairer, more equitable future for every Michigander. I look forward to working together.

“Lawmakers in Lansing can continue down the path where home care workers are underpaid, overworked and forced out of jobs we love, or they can finally invest in a home care system that puts our communities first.”
Labor Voices: State lawmakers should treat home care as essential work I’m a proud home care worker, but the system that should support this essential care is in crisis.

Yesterday, two of our SEIU leaders called on the Courts to deliver our stalled bills to the Governor’s desk.
“Enough is enough. Michigan public servants should not have to go through another holiday season waiting for legislative intervention. We’re sick of political games. Affordable healthcare and dignified retirements shouldn’t be caught in the crosshairs of partisan bickering. It’s time for Speaker Hall to follow the Constitution and deliver these bills. It’s time for Michigan’s public servants to be prioritized."

Tonight, Detroit voters delivered a resounding victory for a new era of leadership that lifts up working people.
This election was a referendum on the needs of working Detroiters - and a vote for a future of hope and progress. In a time of overpromising and underdelivering politicians, these candidates showed up for workers. They will take on corporations who aren’t paying their fair share, grow good-paying union jobs, and fight back against the harmful preemption laws that keep wages low.
We are ready to turn the page to build a city that works for all of us - not just the wealthy few. Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we get to work.
