As Americans, each year on July 4th we are reminded how invaluable our freedom is and all that it took to get us to this momentous day in 1776. The road was not easy; countless men and women vowed to put their lives on the line at any cost in order to protect this land, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice in doing so. Our founders’ willingness to fight for the home they love remains the essence of what it means to be an American, and we live by their same passion still today.

We'd like to wish a very happy and safe Independence Day to all Michigan families. We thank our active servicemen and women for their unwavering service to protect our country and pray for their safe return home. We are truly blessed to live in the greatest nation in the world, where we can cherish our freedom every day.
