It was a weird feeling that everything we did to open and close up shop each day was being done for the last time this past Saturday. It was sad and happy at the same time...thank goodness that it was a warm and beautiful day in Lansing. It was so wonderful to greet everyone who stopped in to say goodbye, share stories, and hugs. We sincerely appreciated the heartwarming sentiments.
We are missing three of our crew members in this picture: Tara, Molly, and Calla. They could not join us for the picture but were with us in spirit. I will be in and out wrapping things up for several weeks, but if you need to reach me, please email [email protected]. I still check my mail regularly.

Hello Friends, Our inventory cleared out quicker than expected, and Saturday March 7th will be our last day in business. We will be open from 2-5, and if you have the time, stop by close to closing and join us for a mini celebration of a job well done and the many awesome memories that the Old Town General Store created.
I raise a glass to all of you, I will miss you! But I cannot lie, I am looking forward to a simpler way of life.

This popped out of my fortune cookie today; it seems the universe is telling me that it's time to close up shop.
