"You may be hesitant to call 911 because you worry you’ll get your friend (and possibly yourself) into trouble, especially if you’re too young to drink legally or if illegal drugs are involved. SELF doesn’t condone underage drinking or illegal drug use, but it’s always important to be able to get help in a potentially deadly situation without fear of repercussion. To encourage this, more than 30 states and the District of Columbia have introduced medical amnesty laws."

MGD has recently been informed about 2 more, 50 total, Lives Saved because of Make Good Decisions!
We’d like to share a little about #47...
In September, we learned about a 2017 Carmel High School Graduate who’s currently attending IU. She had returned to Eigenmann dorm with her friend where they “found a boy unresponsive on the 4th floor.” Because of being MGD educated they called 911, stayed, and helped the first responders. The Good Samaritan’s Mom shared, “Madison has many friends down at IU now (a lot not from Carmel) and she always reminds her crowd before going out to call 911 if they think anyone is in distress.”
We would like to thank Carmel High School for partnering with MGD, as well as Madison and her Mother for sharing this story.

The results at Georgetown suggest the policy empowers intoxicated students, or bystanders, to call for medical assistance before a crisis develops, they add."
