First responders in Grand Ledge and Oneida Charter Township responded to 2,564 calls for service in 2019, including 682 calls for fire response and 1,882 calls for EMS service. To keep up with demand, the Grand Ledge Area Emergency Services Authority has placed the Protecting Our Community Millage proposal on the November 3rd General Election ballot to provide more firefighters and EMT’s, new equipment and additional training.
