You waited patiently, and now the answer is in! It was a new CopiBook overhead scanner as a part of an eight library Digitization Hub with IMLS and LoM! Come in to CADL Local History to scan your large materials and books as a new extension to our Digital History Station. Join us at the CADL Local History Center this Friday at 3-5 PM for a presentation on how the MSU Museum is digitizing the first dormitory on MSU's campus, Saints' Rest! Michigan State University Museum

Today marks 11 years since we launched Local History Online. This is CADL's database of historical photos, documents, audio, and video, free for anyone to access. We keep adding more material to it every day!

If you are curious how to use Local History Online, our outreach librarian Rikki will be hosting a brown-bag event in December. We hope to see you there, and if you can't make it, reach out any time for help.

Local memories of Dolly... In 1979 the Meridian Mall hosted a Dolly look-alike contest. And Dolly herself was here for Michigan Festival in 1993.
