As a woman in production, and a q***r, neurodivergent, perfectionist, Jenny Berggren never quite fit in all the places she found herself working. With authenticity and autonomy, she’s now operating her own grassroots-grown boutique agency, Wondergold Pictures, right here in Lansing.

Jenny will give you a tour of the wild west freelance world and talk about how she is flourishing as a creative person while finding stability.

Learn to develop confidence and self-advocacy, identify the roles and corners of the industry that could be the best fit for you (and what isn't!) while determining not only your day rate but also your value.

About Jenny:
I'm an advocate for a more diverse, accessible, and sustainable creative industry, at least in my little corner of the Midwest. I'm CPR-certified and pursuing a trauma-informed approach to my interviewing practice. With a background in documentary filmmaking, I take the authenticity and storytelling found in non-fiction videos and meld it with the style and intention of both film and tv advertising. Solo-preneurship enables me to care for my wellbeing and build a life that suits me. The work is entirely possible because of our trusted team of freelance creatives in the industry.
