HIDDEN GEM OF THE WEEK!
Sponsored by Team Lyders - Franchise of Taco Bell.
This little sweetheart is still waiting.
Grace is a beautiful 1-year-old, 30-pound love-bug who has been waiting for her forever home since April 16. She’s an active, engaging girl who loves being part of the action and would thrive with a family that enjoys walks, adventures, training, and quality time together.
Grace may do well with another dog after a thoughtful introduction, and she’ll need a home without young children. Everyone in the household should meet her before adoption to ensure the perfect match.
This sweet girl is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives.

Every day, community cats in our area face hunger, illness, injury, and harsh weather without anyone to care for them. Through our Community Cat Program, we provide lifesaving support including spay and neuter services, vaccinations, medical care, and resources for caregivers working to help cats in their neighborhoods.
This program reduces suffering, prevents unwanted litters, and improves the lives of both cats and the communities they live in. But we cannot do it alone.
You can help provide food, medical treatment, and critical spay and neuter surgeries for vulnerable cats who have nowhere else to turn.
Please consider making a gift today to support the Community Cat Program. Together, we can create a more compassionate future for cats in our community.

🟢 Tiny green tattoo…BIG meaning.
Did you know that every cat and dog spayed or neutered at the Capital Area Humane Society Spay & Neuter Clinic receives a small green tattoo? Cats and dogs adopted through our shelter location receive one too!
That little green mark has a very important purpose. Without it, there are times when an animal may need to be anesthetized and even prepped for surgery before a veterinarian can determine they were already spayed or neutered.
The tattoo helps shelters and veterinary staff quickly identify altered animals and avoid unnecessary anesthesia or exploratory surgery.
Community cats in TNR (trap-neuter-return) programs receive both the green tattoo and an ear tip, with the ear tip serving as the universal visual sign that they’ve already been spayed or neutered.
Tiny tattoo. Huge purpose!!!
