Case Study: How Tamerlane Apartments Preserves Large-Scale USDA Housing for a Changed Community Despite having long outgrown its rural roots, Tamerlane Apartments has been preserved as one of the country's largest USDA housing deals.

Cinnaire's Shanise Faust recently joined our partners and community leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of Rogers Main Street Senior Housing in Rogers, MN. Led by Duffy Development Company, this project will bring 40 affordable homes for seniors in Hennepin County, including units sets aside for homeless residents, helping address a critical need in the region.

In addition to new housing, the development will feature a large, city-operated senior center open to all Rogers seniors, creating a welcoming space for connection, activity, and community.

We're proud to collaborate with Duffy Development Company, Minnesota Housing. the Metropolitan Council, Hennepin County, and the City of Rogers, MN - Government on a project that will make a lasting impact.

We’re proud to share a significant milestone for Cinnaire Lending Corporation (CLC).

CLC has received its first Aeris® Rating Report, earning an AA– rating for Financial Strength and Performance. This recognition affirms CLC’s evolution into a well-managed, financially strong Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), built on years of disciplined growth and impact.

Cinnaire Lending Earns Prestigious CDFI Aeris Rating - Cinnaire - Advancing Communities Cinnaire Lending has received its first Aeris® Rating Report — affirming that the organization is a well-managed, financially stable Community Development Financial Institution.

It was a great day in Pontiac as community leaders and partners gathered last week to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of Beacon Place Apartments! ✂️🏡

Cinnaire’s Yulonda Byrd joined our partners, including Lighthouse. Michigan State Housing Development Authority, Oakland County, Michigan Government, City of Pontiac, Michigan USA - Government, Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI), and Ethos Development Partners to celebrate this exciting milestone. Beacon Place brings 40 much-needed affordable homes to the community, including 28 newly upgraded apartments and 12 nearby townhomes, helping expand housing options for individuals and families in Pontiac.

This milestone reflects the power of partnership and a shared commitment to expanding access to safe, quality, and affordable housing. Together, we’re helping build a stronger, more resilient community.

Miranda Bialk, Beth Baar, Michelle Foster, and Cassandra Oracz had an incredible time connecting, learning, and contributing alongside such a strong network of women leaders in affordable housing. Beth had the honor of introducing this year’s WAHN-derful Woman of the Year as last year’s recipient, and she and Miranda also led a great conversation on how Asset Management and Property Management can work more collaboratively.

We’re also excited to share that Beth was appointed to the national WAHN Board of Directors—an incredible and well-deserved recognition of her leadership. 👏🏾

With the CHAM - Consortium for Housing and Asset Management group all in one place, the team made the most of the opportunity to spend time planning together in person for the upcoming CHAM conference.

Cinnaire’s Max Novak joined industry leaders at the CohnReznick NMTC Summit last week for an insightful session on building durable operational infrastructure under a permanent New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program.

The panel explored how CDEs and developers are strengthening their foundations for long-term success—from staffing and succession planning to leveraging deal management systems and workflow automation. The discussion also highlighted how organizations are proactively preparing for Treasury examinations and elevating operational practices to support stronger allocation partnerships and ex*****on.

For more than 30 years, Jennifer has helped shape what equitable housing can look like in practice, bringing together capital, partnerships, and purpose to expand opportunity for communities across Michigan and beyond. Her work is grounded in the belief, like Terry Duvernay’s vision, that this work is ultimately about the people, and that centering equity, community voices, and empathy strengthens the impact we can achieve together.

This recognition honors more than a career of achievement. It reflects the integrity, vision, and unwavering commitment Jennifer brings to this work every day, and the lasting impact she continues to have on people and communities.
